It almost slipped past us. As if my b-day wasn’t cause enough to celebrate, January 17 was Santisound’s 5 year Anniversary.

5 YEARS!!!

In 2003, my wife (Veronica Matus) and I were running this operation as freelancers. I had a studio in a spare bedroom and would also work out of bigger studios in Hollywood. My job was to book as many gigs as possible and try to show up on time for my day gig at Guitar Center, simple enough. My wife on the other hand, she had to deal with everything else life threw in our direction, on top of helping me out in the studio. I’ve worked really hard to get to this point, and I have been extremely lucky along the way, but the burden of our success lays squarely on her shoulders. How do I thank her? I don’t know… It is difficult to quantify what she has done, but I’ll keep trying everyday.

Thanks are also in order for Michael Malerba and David Astasio. Wether it’s editing audio or moving furniture, you’ve been there. Of course, my family and friends… thank you.
